FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is the shelf-life of my bag of treats?

Benny Bullys® treats have a minimum shelf life of 2-3 years, provided the bag remains sealed.

Where are Benny Bullys® treats made?

Benny Bullys® treats are sourced from ingredients made in either USA or Canada. No Offshore Sources. All ingredients meet the same government USDA/CFIA inspections as human edible food.

What makes Benny Bullys® treats different from others?

Benny Bullys® treats are 100% PURE and are formulated for palatability, and nutrition, using over 23 years of Research and Development experience. All products are sourced in the USA or Canada from government inspected plants. Our proprietary freeze-drying process maintains the nutrition of our ingredients and allows us to avoid putting in additives or preservatives.

We also manufacture added value beef liver treats with nutritional functional components - for example beef liver infused with pure pumpkin for a solution to natural stool control.

What can I do to maintain the freshness of my bag of Benny Bullys® treats?

Benny Bullys® treats are made as dry as possible, to stop the growth of bacteria. They will slowly rehydrate if exposed to open air. To help keep moisture out: keep the bag sealed, and store in a cool dry place at room temperature. Moist pieces, or those exposed to the open air for significant time should not be returned into the package.

Larger bags will stay fresher longer, if you use a second smaller container from which to treat your dog. This keeps the main portion sealed longer.

Do Benny Bullys® treats contain any additives or preservatives?

All Benny Bullys® treats are 100% Pure. All Benny Bullys treats are freeze dried using a proprietary process which leaves very little moisture in the treats. Bacteria can't grow without moisture allowing for a very long shelf life with no need for additives or preservatives.

All Benny Bullys products are wheat and grain-free.

What are the feeding guidelines for Benny Bullys® treats?

Feed your pet a few pieces. Benny Bullys® treats can also be mixed in with kibble for fussy pets that aren't eating or have health issues. Benny Bullys NutriMix® and Benny Bullys® Liver Plus can be used for pets on a restricted diet or with allergies.

What is the difference between Benny Bullys® Dog Treats and Cat Treats?

All Benny Bullys® cat treats are smaller, and have been taste tested with cats. The ingredients used are the same. But are processed into smaller pieces. Dog treats may be used for cats, but should be carefully broken up before feeding.

Does animal liver contain toxins due to it's role as a filtering organ?

The role of the liver is to neutralize toxins. The liver does not store toxins.

But it is a storage organ for many important nutrients (vitamins A, D, E, K, B12 and folic acid, and minerals such as copper and iron). These nutrients provide the body with some of the tools it needs to get rid of toxins.
